We were so proud when we found out that our website was chosen as one of the top six in Ireland.

We were the only school from Ulster.

We left at 9:30am and arrived at the Helix after 11:00am. We set up our computer stand and our display. There was a problem getting onto the internet but the organisers soon sorted it out. We had to cut our poster in two because it wouldn't hang up properly. Lunch was provided and the sandwiches were lovely. Different schools came over and asked us questions.

We learned a lot from looking at all the different displays and we have loads of ideas that we can't wait to use on our school's site in the New Year. Watch This Space!

Thanks to Ms Farry who looks afer us when we're working on the school website and to Mr. McMahon who came with us to the Helix.

We left the school at midday, forty boys and five teachers. On the bus we watched a DVD of 'The A-Team'. We got to Dublin shortly after 2pm. When we got to the RDS we all visited the toilets then went 'backstage' chatting and looking around. At half 2 we went to our places to rehearse. The conductor was Gearoid Grant and he was a 'bit mad' running all over the place. The rehearsals were tough and some of the schools were talking between songs, but not us! From 5:30pm until 6:00 we had a break and a rest. We were called in and got into our places. The doors opened and we could see the audience coming in and we got a bit nervous, it took ten minutes for the audience to fill the seats.

One of the organisers was called Dan and everytime we saw him the choir had to shout, "Dan we love your scarf". The show itself was brilliant. There were 3500 in the choir and looking around was amazing.

Some of our parents who were at the show said it was amazing. We got the bus home and arrived at the school after 11:25pm. We had been away for a whole day. It was so exciting, amazing and extraordinary. We would definitely love to do it again next year.

Thank you Ms. Deeney for all your hard work. It was worth giving up lunch breaks to be part of such an amazing day!

Leitrim, she became involved in politics as she felt that her local region was not being funded or developed properly and she wanted to make a difference.

She said that she gets great satisfaction when she gets somethiing done that makes a difference to people's lives

In an inspiring talk, Marian explained all about the EU and the part she plays as MEP. She told all present that they should follow their dreams and that with hard work and determination anything could be achieved.

Marian complimented the pupils on their school and was especially complimentary of the School Musical and wealth of extra-curricular activities which she had read about on the school's website.

Well done to the team who won the Frank McGinn cup on Saturday last, 22nd October. The boys played well in terrible conditions. Having lost the toss they played against the wind for the first quarter and at the break were level with a goal and a point apiece. In the second quarter they used the wind to great advantage and scored two magnificent goals while not conceding any scores. The third and fourth quarters were tighter and our keeper and backs did well to keep out shots while the forwards made good use of every chance they had at goal.

All in all it was a terrific team game and more than one of the huge crowd of supporters commented on the way the boys played for each other. There is no doubt that their terrific passing game was the key to their success.

The Captain accepted the cup and thanked Mr. McCinna and Miss Casey for their coaching, while both coaches were quick to point out that the boys had played a great team game and deserved their victory.

Thanks to the huge number of parents, pupils, past pupils and teachers who braved the wind and rain to cheer on the boys.
